Ben Carr

Financial Advisor

I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a double major in economics and anthropology and set my sights on the world of financial planning. Prior to attending college, I spent many years as a touring musician. Throughout those years, I saw numerous friends have major life events that necessitated the use of crowdfunding to get through. Those events motivated me to become a financial planner, educator, and trusted partner. I then joined Fidelity Investments, where I obtained my securities licenses, became an advisor, and worked closely with the firm’s portfolio managers.

I have seen countless times the power of financial education and the compounding effect of structured, diligent, and risk-appropriate investing. While planning for the future is crucial, I hold a firm belief that we all need to enjoy the time we’re given in the present. That balance is unique to each individual and finding it is what motivates me every single day.

Outside of Erickson Advisors, you will find me tinkering as an audio engineer, spending time with my lovely partner, our dog and cat, and making the most of the time I have with my friends and family.
